The Rycote Practice will be closed for essential staff training from 1pm on Tuesday 9th July for essential staff training. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

We are aware that some patients continue to experience problems with online access. Help can be found at which includes guides and video tutorials.

Translation and British Sign Language Service

The Rycote Practice is able to arrange access to translation services for patients where English is not their first language.  Ideally this should be arranged 3 working days before the appointment.  Our reception team will be happy to organise this on behalf of patients.  A 20 minute appointment should be booked when translation services are being used.  The practice is able to arrange a face-to-face or telephone service.

The Practice can also arrange for a British Sign Language interpreter if needed.

Violence Policy

The NHS operate a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and abuse and the practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, patients and other persons. Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety. In this situation we will notify the patient in writing of their removal from the list and record in the patient’s medical records the fact of the removal and the circumstances leading to it.
